- For those unaware, the studio has announce that episode 85 (meaning next week. since 26 episodes of season 1 is included) will be the final episode for this season, and there is no news as to when they will begin development of the next season or when it will be released. The studio has a lot of projects going on, Soul Land 2, WLOP's Ghost Blade, and a couple of new projects

FYI Originally the season was supposed to end at episode 78 (including 26 episodes of season 1, so 52 episodes this season) but they extended it by another 7 episodes, making it 85 episodes, it is unknown when the next season will be released

- There is speculation that the studio is currently inundated with so many projects and that Chen Dong's other work (in which Wanmei Shijie/Perfect World is part of this trilogy) Zhe Tian/Shrouding the Heavens (Covering the Sky) will be taking over Wednesday broadcast/stream slot, it will be released on the 3 May 2023. Zhe Tian is developed by Origin Force, the same studio that is responsible for Fanren Xiu Xian Zhuan

They must really love Chen Dong's work. Most his novels I drop. I really didn't like Shrouding the Heavens. I'm shocked they aint animate Er Gen works unless I missed it already. I also hope they animate Demon's Diary one day. It's low key better than A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality. It's by the same author since Mortal's Journey was his first novel the newer is smoother.

Er Geng's Renegade Immortal is currently being developed by Build Dream, same studio that produced Zi Chuan (Purple River) I enjoyed RI but I hated the ending... sigh

Actually, he killed that fellow. His daughter fell in love with him but whoever that guy was, there just wasn't something right about him. Perhaps he was a degenerate or something else, we don't know neither is it explained but in novel he said to his daughter,
"Though you hate me but I don't regret killing that useless fellow"
As for the reason, we're not told.
And that was much better in my personal opinion but these changes are also welcome. I just hope they don't go the route our MC(Luo Feng) took in the novel which caused MANY people to quit including me ofcourse.

Or, do you maybe mean Luo Feng not informing his wife about him surviving, driving her to suicide? If they don't go that route, I guess they would need to kill her by some other way anyway to make the necklace trigger and grant her increased lifespan.
